Nebraska Energy Loans

Tecumseh Federal Bank is proud to be one of Nebraska’s lending institutions to offer Nebraska Energy Loans. Energy Efficient Housing Loans and Dollar & Energy Savings Loans are offered in partnership by Tecumseh Federal Bank with the Nebraska Department of Environment and Energy (NDEE). Energy loans are not only environmentally friendly, but are also very cost-efficient and can be financed with a low-interest rate.

Energy Efficient Housing Loans

  • Long-term permanent financing on newly constructed, single family detached dwellings in Nebraska.
  • Current interest rates are based off of Freddie Mac’s Primary Mortgage Market Survey.
  • NDEE’s program guidelines can be found on NDEE's website.
  • To remain eligible for this loan, the home owner must receive NDEE written approval of their application prior to applying for a building permit, if required, and prior to any construction or ground breaking.
  • Construction Loan should be obtained from a local lender. This may be a NDEE participated construction loan or a conventional construction loan.
  • Construction may not begin prior to NDEE approving the project.

Dollar & Energy Savings Loans

  • Prequalified projects for home and building improvements such as new windows and doors, insulation, high-efficiency water heaters, thermostats, or heating and air conditioning equipment.
  • NDEE’s program guidelines can be found on NDEE's website.
  • Projects must have approval from NDEE prior to purchase or signing of contract.
